Sense of the Resurrection
This free family event will allow you to experience elements of the Holy Week through your five senses: touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing.
Your group will have 5 minutes in each of the 5 rooms. A group can consist of a family, a small group, a band of friends, etc. We ask that your group be no larger than 12 people due to space.
For your safety, groups will be socially distanced (one group per room), room hosts and guides will wear masks, and hand sanitizer will be available in each room.
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your designated time for instruction and social distancing purposes. If anyone from your group arrives late, they can join your group in the room the group is visiting at that time. It is our hope that you will experience Jesus’ love and plan for your salvation in a deeper way through this event.
With Halloween just around the corner and spooky images at every turn in stores, on TV, in neighbors yards, etc, this curriculum is a perfect start for our newsletter! Over the next 6 weeks we will talk about 6 topics that come up at Halloween time and look at them through the lens of scripture. We want to see what God has to say and how He can help us to deal with these topics.
The six lesson topics: Trick or Treating, Costumes, Darkness, Fear, Evil, & Death
This curriculum is not for or against Halloween; the lessons will work to build up your student’s confidence in what they believe and what the Bible says. Hopefully replacing fear with confidence and hope.
How this works…
1. Print the Lesson Video Sheets with the coloring page before watching the video. You can make as many copies as you need. The video sheet has fill in the blanks that go along with the recorded lesson. New lessons will be uploaded weekly.
2. After watching the video, print the Further Discussion sheet and coloring page. This is for your family to go deeper into the topic.
If you have questions or need help getting started, please email me. I look forward to helping you and your family enjoy this season more, and learn more about what God has to say about how these topics affect us.
